How To Get Food

We understand that making the choice to visit us may be difficult, especially if you aren’t sure what to expect. Here, you can get information on how to prepare for your first visit to The Caring Cupboard. We try to make receiving help as simple as possible. Please note that we are only able to provide food on an ongoing basis to families living in the Palmyra and Annville-Cleona School Districts.

  • No! We're here to help. We want you to feel comfortable and know that we value your trust in us to help you! You may come to receive food during The Caring Cupboard's regular operating hours. You do not need to schedule an appointment to sign up for your first visit.

  • Our services are available to individuals and families, even if they do not meet the eligibility criteria for food stamps. We extend our support to families who say they need help with food. Additionally, families with children who receive free or reduced lunches are also eligible to participate in our summer lunch program.

  • Yourself! Knowing the birthdays of each person in your house is helpful information as well.

  • Once you are registered, you may access food. Each family can take home foods that include meat, bread, fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, and eggs as well as non-perishable food items. You are able to select items that your family likes -- it's like shopping at a grocery store! At the end of your shopping trip, volunteers will help you to pack up your items.

  • Each family may utilize the food pantry once per week.

  • The Caring Cupboard is open the following times to shop for food:

    Monday: 9a.m. - 12p.m.

    Tuesday: 9a.m. - 12p.m.

    Wednesday: 4p.m. - 7p.m.

    Thursday: 9a.m. - 12p.m.

    Friday: 9a.m. - 12p.m.
